Weekly Happenings
9/14 Newcomer Welcome Lunch
Are you new to Vineyard? Would you like to eat good food, enjoy good conversation, and learn what Vineyard is all about? Join us after service on Sunday, September 14th, for lunch at Three Notch’d.
9/21 Steward Lab Workshop
Want to be a better steward of God's resources? The Steward Lab Workshop combines Biblical principles with practical money management tools. James & Amberlee Rich share simple systems to help you give generously, spend wisely, and manage daily expenses in ways that honor God.
This will be a practical, encouraging event designed to help you align your money with your values. Whether you're trying to get out of debt, save more consistently, or simply manage everyday expenses with more clarity, this workshop offers tools that really work.
The workshop will be at Tall Oaks Elementary on Sunday afternoon, September 21, from 12:30-4:00. Lunch and childcare will be provided. RSVP deadline is Wednesday, September 17.
10/1 Alpha
Alpha is a series of conversations that freely explore the basics of the Christian faith in an open, friendly environment. Regardless of background or beliefs, everyone is invited.
If you or someone you know is interested in exploring questions of faith, invite them to Alpha! The group will meet for 7 weeks on Wednesday evenings, beginning October 1.
9/14 Youth Group
Vineyard’s youth group is starting soon! Youth group will be during service every 2nd and 4th Sunday, starting September 14th. All 6th-12th graders are invited! For more information, talk to Elise or Clifton Wise.
9/14 Ark Volunteer Lunch
The Ark volunteer team will be gathering for lunch after church on September 14 (12:30–2:30 at Martha Layman’s home). We'll have time to get to know each other, to talk about what God's doing in the ministry, to pray, and to get into some logistics with the teams for each class. Ark volunteers, please RSVP to Emily.
9/29 Sacred Conversations
Vineyard's Justice Ministry is a formal network of relationships that engages the entire church in doing justice. Every fall, we host opportunities to foster relationships by listening to each others’ stories of how injustice personally affects us. Join us for dinner from 7-8:30 on Monday the 29th, where you'll also be invited to join us in working to solve local systemic problems. Childcare provided. See Crystal Seek, Jessica Leathers, or Carissa Phillips if you have any questions.
10/12 Monticello Trail Walk & Picnic
Enjoy a fun fall outing with the Vineyard community! After church on October 12th, we’ll be walking the Monticello Trail (2 miles each way) and eating together at the picnic area at the upper end of the trail. You can join for one or both events:
For the trail walk, join us at the parking lot on Route 20 at 12:30pm.
For the picnic, meet up at the Monticello picnic area at 1:15pm. Bring a picnic lunch or buy food in the Monticello Cafe.
